People with borderline personality disorder chreate chaos in the lives of those around them. What is it about BPD that causes them to do this? It seems to me that by creating chaos, the borderline creates a situation in which they are as competent as the people around them. In other words, if there were no chaos, then their deficiencies in character would be more apparent....
